"Married in Nebraska City".-- Last Saturday afternoon Professor D. D.Darby accompanied by Mrs. Grace Rhodes drove to Percival to look after some business for the Fremont County Herald. The newpaper business being concluded, these people quietly boarded the train and went to Nebraska City. They secured the necessary license and were married at 6 o'clock Saturday evening at the office of the County Judge, W. Wilson. Mr. Darby is well known through the country having been a successsful teacher for years in this county, and for several years has been connected with the Fremont County Herald. Mrs. Rhodes is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Brown and has spent the greater part of her life in Sidney, where she has many friends. Mr. Darby had a neat little house already prepared for his bride, in the northwest part of town. The SUN joins the many friends of this worthy couple in wishing them happiness and prosperity in their wedded life. N.N.: This is the Darby who taught the winter and spring terms of the Lacy Grove district school from Dec. 1895 to May 1896. While there, he contributed a column of news from the Lacy Grove neighborhood--for THE FREMONT COUNTY SUN--and in so doing gave the only outline of the residents of that community that I know of.....For these Lacy Grove families, conduct a SEARCH on this site using the words "Darbys outline".--W.F.
