"Prairie Township Wedding".-- At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Mitchell, Tuesday evening, June 30, 1908 occurred the marriage of their daughter Bessie to Mr. Forney Phipps, Rev. F.M. Branic, pastor of the Christian church, officiating. The ceremony was performed at 8:30 o'clock in the presence of about forty of the immediate relatives and friends of the contracting parties. Congratulations were extended followed by an elaborate three course supper. The happy couple were the recipients of a large number of beautiful and useful presents. They went to housekeeping at once on the farm just east of Farragut where they are now at home to their many friends. May their life be one of prolonged joy, happiness and prosperity.
