Ward Scott in "Ripley Creek Recollections" noted that Deacon had a tumor the size of a basketball on the back of his neck. We have some whistles and figures that he made. The farm that he lived on was purchased in 1858 by my gr-gr- grandfather and we still it today. Brent Lorimor
