January 2, 1902. -- George Fouts was over from Riverton Tuesday. Mr. Fouts has just received word of his appointment as postmaster at Riverton, and he will take charge of the same as soon as he can make out the necessary papers. Mr. Fouts is an old soldier and a strong and active republican, and his appointment will be satisfactory to the republicans of that place. Mr. Williams, the present postmaster, has made an excellent official, and we are glad to know that he is to remain in Riverton.
