Hill died at his home six miles northwest of Sidney Thursday morning and will be buried from the Baptist church in this city at two o'clock this afternoon, Rev. Mr. Hill was a born Dec. 14, 1837 in Ohio, and came to Fremont County with his parents and settled one mile south of Sidney in September, 1853. He was married to Miss Kate Moody in February, 1866, to whom were born six daughters and one son. He moved six miles northwest of Sidney, where he lived until his death. Those left to mourn his death are Mrs. Dora Earith, Mrs. Ida Adamson, and Mrs. Belle Stafford of Thurman; Mrs. Emma Kellogg of Council Bluffs; Mrs. Mary Hiatt and Mrs. Edith Kaywood of Omaha, and Frank Hill, of Thurman. Mr. Hill joined the Baptist church in 1867, and he has lived a consistent christian life since and died in a confident hope of a glorious immortality. Some time before his death Mr. Weavers was speaking to him about the future and he said, "All is well with me." Mr. Hill was a good and kind neighbor, an indulgent and affectionate husband and father, and his departure is regretted by all who came to know his sterling character and uprightness. The interment will be in the Sidney cemetery.
