Asa and his sons were not allowed to vote as they were considered southern sympathizers. I know that there feelings were of southern views. They owned land in Nebraska City area. Asa and Mary ann had another son William who died and is buried there . He was twelve years old. The stone is the exact size and same details as his sister that is buried in the Milsap cemetary in Rockport. They went there in about 1854 or 55. Probably run out of Missouri. Any other information is greatly appreciated. I am still looking for Asa's parents. Any ideas would be appreciated. Carolyn Jackson Burgener
