(N.B.: Henry Anderson was the father-in-law of Dyer McWilliams.--W.F.) b.--Elmer McWilliams of Harrison county is calling on relatives here.--SUN of 4/30/1896. ISSAC LOUIS McWILLIAMS, born in Pennsylvania - d. in 1877 at Mound City, Missouri; married Amanda Caroline "Mandy" Gibson, b. May 4, 1851 in Monroe county, Tennessee - d. Sept. 1, 1904; married in July 1864......Her obituary is posted here on Rootsweb.......In 1880, she and her children were enumerated in Sidney township, page 53. Children (as far known): 1. Obediah Dyer, b. ca. 1866 in Wisconsin; married Lillie Anderson on August 15, 1894 in Fremont county, Iowa. Daughter of Henry and Isabelle (Richie) Anderson. (N.B.: In 1880, Henry Anderson and family are enumerated in Ross township, page 21.--W.F.) Obediah McWilliams is named in Handy's "Someday", concerning Civil Bend. He appears to have left Fremont county about the same time as did his brother Elmer. 2. Elmer, b. Apr. 1868 in Wisconsin; married Evaline Knapp, b. Apr. 1876; married on July 12, 1891 in Fremont county. (Her mother is said to have been a "Nichols".--W.F.) This family left Fremont county between 1910 and 1915; Elmer McWilliams had lived in Sidney township since at least 1880....One of their daughters married Joseph Bonney, son of Mose and Margaret Bonney......A daughter, Ruby, was born in Kansas in June 1893, and, Darby says he was living in Harrison county, Iowa, in 1896. 3. Ellenor "Ellen", b. Mar. 1872 in Wisconsin; married George S. Wells, b. Sept. 1863; married on Oct. 26, 1891 at Porter McNatt's. There were at least ten children. He is buried in North Grove Cemetery, Indian Creek township, Mills county, Iowa; however, in 1920 he was living in Red Oak, Iowa. 4. Mariam E., b. March 4, 1874 in Wisconsin - d. Dec. 18, 1912; married Fielden Warrick, b. ca. 1866 in West Virginia; married on January 25, 1892 in Fremont county. She is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Page county, Iowa. (N.B.: One of their daughters --Mrs. Harry Schenck is written up in the 1984 History of Page County..... The Warricks, with their many children, lived in Nebraska township, Page co., Iowa --W.F.) 5. Amanda C., b. in Fremont county ca. 1874; married J. A. Curran, b. ca. 1865; married on May 10, 1891 at her home. Son of Fred and Adelia (Duvall) Curran......I have never identified this Curran family. 6. Olive Eliza, b. ca. 1876 in Fremont county; married George E. Foster, b. ca. 1870 in Marion county,Iowa; married on Jan. 8, 1896 in Fremont county. Son of Joseph B. and Mary E. (Nichols) Foster....The HERALD of Jan. 9 1896 said their marriage was the 527th one performed by Elder J. B. Moomaw of Sidney. 7. Louise, b. May 1877 in (Holt county) Missouri - d. Nov. 15, 1937; married Warren Monroe Willey, b. July 1871 at Alma, Nebraska - d. Feb. 23, 1946; married on Dec. 24, 1895 in Fremont county. Son of Willis Willey and Nancy Murphy.......After the death of her husband, Louise's mother appears to have moved back to Fremont county.....A son, MIles Louis Willey, b. Nov. 18, 1900 at Sidney was living at Yakima, Washington in 1926.......A daughter, Edna Blondena (Willey) Anderson lived at Lebanon, South Dakota from 1935 to 1965......I received e-mail from a granddaughter in 2004 from their granddaugher who was living in Kansas at that time. AMANDA CAROLINE "Mandy" (GIBSON) McWILLIAMS married (2) Porter Nathan McNatt on June 26, 1884 in Fremont county. In 1885, they were living near the northwest quarter of section 16 township 69 range 42. 8. Porter N. McNatt, b. 10/'20/1884 - d. 10/2/1886. 9. Edith May, b. Jan. 1888; married Lemuel A. Foster; b. June 1883 in Colorado; married on December 5, 1904 at Sidney. Son of John W. and Lavina Ellen (Athey) Foster. Lemuel was anephew of George E. Foster, above. 10. Williard M. No information
