I was adopted by Marietta Cameron McManus who was the niece of Elizabeth, but I don't know if they ever met. Marietta was born in 1880 in Liberty Indiana and moved to Calif in the 1900's. James was "adopted" by David Coombs and taught to be a saddler., James served in the Union Army in the Civil War. Marietta was very closed mouthed and I only found these items after her death in 1956 in Calif. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
