Acord the brother of Amos Decator Acord was born Mar 30, 1852 and died Jan 8, 1927. His obituary can be found in the Hamburg Reporter of Jan 13, 1927. George was never married and died while living at a neighbors house the Pierce's, seems his house burned down a few months earlier. The obit goes on to say that He leaves to mourn his death one sister, Mrs. Martha Watts of Riverton, two half-sisters Mrs. Julia Achenbach, Malvern, Ia; Mrs. Mary Abbott, Idaho Falls, Idaho; a nephew, Rufus Acord, Faragut, Ia.; a niece, Mrs. Ruth Acord Niehart, Riverton, Ia.
