I have been searching for my G-Grandmothers 2nd husband, Isaac Conner b. 1837 Indiana. This has been a real puzzle for me. My G-Grandmother, Della Maria Reeves was a pretty religious Methodist woman who lived in Fremont County Iowa most all her life. She first married Burwell Irwin and after he died in 1878, she married Isaac Conner in 1886 at Rawlings, Kansas. This is the puzzle. It is hard for me to believe she went all the way to Kansas, BEFORE she got married. The following is an index of the marriage records of Rawlins County, Kansas. These records can be found at the county courthouse which is located in Atwood, Kansas 67730. CONNER, Isaac m. Irwin, Maria 1886 After Isaac died abt. 1891 she returned to Fremont. Corresponding with a Conner descendant, she can't figure out why Isaac would travel from Kansas to Fremont or how he met up with Maria. I am thinking that maybe Isaac Conner and the John Conner of Fremont might be related and that is how she met Isaac. Any help or comments appreciated. Dave
