January 13, 1927. "Wilbur C. Mann".-- Wilbur C. Mann was born Nov. 14, 1868 and passed away Jan. 7, 1927 age 58 years 1 month and 24 days. He was the youngest son of Granville and Martha Mann, pioneers of Fremont county. He spent his entire life in his childhood home with the exception of one year at Cedar Rapids business college and one year at Mr. Vernon at Cornell College. Wilbur C. Mann was united in marriage to Miss Rose Hall Feb. 3, 1904. To this happy union three children were born: Eugene Irwin, Dorothy June and Carroll Emerson who with the mother survive him; also one brother, R. E. Mann of Tabor, Iowa. The deceased has been in poor health for three years. He became a member of the M. E. Church in early life. Funeral services were conducted from the home Sunday at 2:00 o'clock by the Rev. E. R. Streyfeler. Interment at Thurman cemetery. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Will Adams and daughter of Fremont, Neb.; Mrs. A. I. McCord, Mr. and Mrs. Driscoll of Randolph; B. E. Mann and son and daughter of Tabor; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dean and W. E. Mann of Hamburg, Mr.and Mrs. Arthur Gill and Stuart Foster of Hamburg.
