October 12, 1933. -- J. D. Hills made a business trip Thursday to Marshalltown, purchasing a furnace to install in the country home of Mr.and Mrs. John Whipple, northwest of Sidney. Mr. Hills states that this is the FIFTY-THIRD furnace he has installed in homes in Sidney and nearby. N.B.: When Jack Farwell built his new home 4.75 miles north of Farragut in 1918, a large furnace located in the basement under the dining room was a part of the original plan of construction.-- W.F.
