Dollie Fischer,Cumming, Iowa 7. Grace David of Tofino, B. C., Canada She leaves two sisters, also: 1. Louise Watkins of Denver, CO 2. Fairy Orr of Shady Cove, OR Sturgis H. Leffler, 71, died Mar. 13, 1978; burial at Grandview at Knox. John Leffler who lived southwest of Knox died the first of the week and was buried at Rector's Tuesday. -- Nov. 19, 1903. (WPA records: "John W. Leffler, 12/6/1832 - 11/15/1903".) Eliza Cady, born Oct. 9, 1857 in Sullivan county, Missouri -- died Jan. 26, 1902 in Sidney; married John Lehr on Sept. 27, 1880; seven children, six living: 2 boys and 4 girls. Moved to Sidney last September. Alexander Leitch, born Iverness, Scotland on Oct. 25, 1825 - d. near Sidney on Mar. 24, 1902 aged 76 years 5 months 12 days. In 1837 came to Raleigh, NC with his father's family. To St. Louis, MO by 1840; in 1846 to Gallatin, Davies county, MO where he married Emily A Venable in 1850; she died several years ago (Jan. 6, 1825 - July 18, 1895) and since then he has lived with his son William. Three daughters and one son. Came to Sidney in 1854. Martha Isabelle, wife of Rev. W. Benjamin Nixon, daughter of A. Leitch, died May 28, 1899 aged 35 years. Myrtle Leslie, b. at Percival - d. at Episcopal Church Home (at Rochester, NY ?) on July 25, 1982 at age of 81 years. Moved with her parents to Huron SD in early childhood. A retired social worker. Buried Rose Hill in Shenandoah. Mrs. Clyde McElroy of Shenandoah, dec'd., was a sister. Surviving cousins include Lois Barrett of Percival, Ursel Stiles of Nebraska City and Ivan Miller, Kinross, Iowa. George Lewis, 70, a colored man, died Tuesday at Hamburg.--Nov. 12, 1903. (WPA records: George Lewis 10/12/1837 - 10/12/1903 -- sic: Does it look right to link this up with the following?). Mrs. George Lewis died Sunday in Locust Grove. Leaves husband and 5 small children. Buried at Locust Grove. -- Jan. 8, 1903 (WPA records: Mary C. Lewis 7/13/1871 - 1/4/1903). Marion Lightfoot who lived 2 miles south of Farragut died Sunday. -- Sept. 27, 1900. (WPA records: Marian Lightfoot 1844 - 1900) Grandfather Lighthizer's 86th birthday was Aug. 6, 1900. Miss Likes died in Nebraska; buried at Farragut on Sunday; a former resident. -- June 25, 1903 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
