Myrtle Headley, died Sept. 20, 1976 at Hamburg; buried at Pilot Rock, Oregon; married John English; Mrs. Dennis (Ruth) Henshaw of Pilot Rock is a daughter; Myrtle and John raised Bob English, a grandson. Myrtle's sister (1) is Mrs. Roy (Iva) Brown of College Springs, Iowa; her sister (2) is Mrs. Herbert (Lucille) Driskell of Hamburg; her brother is (3) Alvin Headley of Lexington, Nebr. Mrs. Helme of Anderson, Iowa, died Dec. 25, 1902. Mrs. Jessie Hemphill was born 1884 - died April 11, 1970. Mary Elizabeth Henderson, daughter of William and Barbara Henderson, died at Anderson on August 13, 1904; was born Jan. 18, 1898 R. O. Henstorf, 76, died in October 1962. (Farragut?) Mrs. Elsie Hess, 83, died March 4, 1982 in Shenandoah; buried at Riverton; her husband died in 1974 and was a rural mail carrier in Riverton; moved to Shenandoah in 1951; Mrs. June Jenkins of Shenandoah and Mrs. Ruth Jenkins of Shenandoah are daughters. Andrew Hiatt's little 6 months old son died last Tuesday and was buried in the Mt. Zion cemetery.--Sept. 14, 1899 Curtis B. Hiatt, born in Sidney - died May 3, 1901 aged 29 years 10 months 16 days; a widowed mother and a brother survive. Mrs. Pauline Hicks who lives west of Shenandoah is at death's door. Her mother also died (sic) of Eczema; aged 76 years old; mother of eleven children, 4 of whom are living: (1) Mrs. Mary York of Carroll county, Iowa; (2) Mrs. A. M. Jessup of Colorado; (3) R. T. Hicks of Sheridan, MO; (4) W. R. Hicks.-- January 30, 1902 John Hilger died FEb. 8, 1979 in Omaha hospital; he was a farmer in the Hamburg area. Mrs. John Hill died January 17, 1900 in Percival. Roby Hill died Mar. 14, 1979 in Omaha, aged 67 years. Native of Thurman; married Mrs. Bessie Starritt of Tabor; one brother Bob Hill of Nebraska City. Honorable R. O. Hoback, born in West Virginia on May 25, 1821 - died Oct. 25, 1900 two and one-half miles north of Nehawka, Nebr, aged 79 years 5 months. He came to Iowa in 1842, and in 1854 went to Nebraska where he purchased rights from the Indians. Was a veteran of the Mexican War and was a member of the Nebraska Territorial Legislature in 1862; 1863; and 1855 (sic). His wife died many years ago; he has lived with his daughter Mrs. Alford. Mrs. Keyser and Mrs. Reed of Fremont county are his daughters, also. Mrs. Bertha Holland died Tuesday; sister of Mrs. John Howery of Thurman; buried at Hamburg. -- Oct. 15, 1980 Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
