Mar.27, 1893 near Langdon, MO - d. Mar. 4, 1983; married on Oct. 10, 1926. They moved to Tabor in 1936. Her husband died in January 1981. Buried at Granton, Wisconsin. Clark Underwood of Shenandoah is a son, and Mrs. JOhn D. (Carolyn) Wiley of Granton, Wisc. in a daughter. Christian Ebert married Emma Karl; they lived near Rock Port and then near Farmer City: Their daughter Minnie Ebert was born June 3, 1890 at Audubon, Iowa - died Nov. 12, 1988; married in 1911 Henry Laumann who died in 1958; buried at St. John's Cemetery, Westboro, MO. Their children included (1) Dorothy Salfrank, dec'd.; (2) Arnold Laumann, dec'd.; (3) Irene Bryte of Shenandoah; (4) Mildred, wife of Leroy Hensley of Shenandoah; (5) Vivian, married J. F. McLaren of Farragut; (6) Donald Laumann of Farragut. Hugh Douglas Lawrence, 73, died Nov. 8, 1980; wife Mabel of Silver City; buried at Randolph. Hervert Lenverton, b. east of Tabor - d. May 9, 1982; married Nora Benedict (a sister of Mrs. Edith Shere); lived in Apple Valley, CA. One brother survives. Leonard M. Leach died Nov. 18, 1979; married Avis M., (daughter of George Hackett and Adeline Clemons), born Jan. 5, 1897 in Ravenwood, MO - d. DEc. 15, 1989; married on Jan. 20, 1920; buried at Sidney. Children included (1) Leonard Leach of Beaverton, OR; (2) Robert Leach of Sidney; (3) Doris Schooling of Shenandoah; (4) Mrs. Charles (Mary) Schaaf of Sidney George L. Leckenby, 81, died March 18, 1988; buried at Mt. Zion. Siblings included (1) Tom Leckenby of Hamburg; (2) Pauline McCall of Hamburg; (3) Edith Phillips of Hamburg; (4) Frances Phillips of Hamburg. Merritte Leeka's funeral was held at Thurman on Feb. 18, 1985. Elsie Lewis, 87, died Mar. 9, 1996; buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Son Charles, Jr. lives at Scottsdale, AZ. Walter Lewis, 67, died Jan. 11, 1960; buried at Sidney. Phyllis Lewis, aged 62, died Feb. 2, 1991; buried at Riverton. Daughter of Charles McLaughlin, Three sisters included (1) Charlene Reed of Shenandoah; (2) Lois Crouse of Hamburg; (3) Mary Lou Walker of Denison, TX.....She was the niece of Mrs. Everett Schaffer of Riverton.
