Whallon, b. Apr. 8, 1865 in Memphis, Missouri - d. May 24, 1936; md. Ollie M. Hisson on June 28, 1894;moved to Sidney in 1927; buried at Sidney. Harry Raymond Treat, son of Joseph Treat, Sr., was born Oct. 30, 1878 - d. May 16, 1936 at the home of his mother. Was a mail clerk of the Minneapolis to Chicago railroad. Was twice married; leaves one son. The following seven items are from the Fremont County Herald of Feb. 6, 1919: 1. Last Saturday Mrs. Mada Otte and Sheriff A. J. Jorgenson went to Omaha and were married. In obtaining the marriage license they gave their ages as "over 18". They have moved into the county jail building and are conducting the business of the county in the most appoved manner. 2. Recent arrivals: BORN --a. To Paul VanNess on Feb. 2, a daughter, Ruby Louise --b. To Ortis Thornton, on Feb. 3, a daughter. --c. To Henry Butler Feb. 4, a daughter, Gertrude Mary 3. The children of Mrs.Catherine Nies celebrated the anniversary of her golden wedding on Sunday, it being the most convenient for all to be present. They are Joe, John and Rose of Hamburg, and Mrs. Dene Thrapp of Omaha. 4. Oscar Hayes who has been connected with the Payne ranch for many years, died the past week, aged 80 years old. His body was taken to Columbia, Missouri, for burial, accompanied by M. M. Payne. 5. Thomas Simmons died last Thursday aged 81 years. He was born in Ohio; a wife survives; buried at Mt. Zion. 6. Mrs. Isaac Dinwiddie entertained Mr. Dinwiddie's mother, Mrs. Mary Mitchell, and aunt, Mrs. Amelia Dinwiddie....The latter is from Cameron, Missouri. 7. Fred Green is recovering from being gassed....son of Will Green of Hamburg...is at Camp Dodge. Oliver Fivecoats, aged about 45 years, died in Nebraska City on January 19, 1919. He was the father of 17 children, 12 of whom survive along with his wife.--Fremont County Herald of Jan. 30, 1919. Sesuon Butts married Lucinda Andrews: Their son Charles C. Butts, 28, born in Illinois but now of Percival - married - Anna Daily, 22, born at Percival, daughter of Timothy Daily and Mary O'Neil; married on July 23, 1896 at Sidney.
