R. J. "Bob" Bradley died at Percival Saturday night.--Feb. 6, 1902 Mrs. Briggs died Friday at her daughter's Mrs. H. R. Laird of Tabor; she was almost 90 years old; buried at Logan Creek, Nebr where her husband is buried.--Nov. 20, 1902 Frank Brown: His son (?) Glade Brown died May 1976, lived in CA. A son Donald Brown lives in Colorado; and a son Dale Brown in Omaha. Mrs. Carrie Buckingham, wife of Charles, a prosperous farmer living three miles north of here, died Monday from quick consumption and was buried Tuesday in the Waubonsie cemetery.--Barlett News in Fremont County Sun of Aug. 17, 1899 Phil Getscher, 89, died May 22, 1981; buried at Hamburg; lived south of Riverton. Brothers (?) Edwin, Phillip and Franklin. Half-brothers Carl , Gale, Glen, Franklin and Arthur Burbridge. Elder John Burgner died July 6, 1901 in Hamburg, aged 58 years. Mrs. Calahan of Madison township died last Wednesday and was buried Friday in Mt. Zion. --Riverton News of May 14,1903. (WPA for Utterback shows "Elnora Calahan b. 5/6/1838 - 5/6/1903.) Rev. Raoul Calkins, 76, died Feb. 26, 1982 in Bradenton, Flo.; his father was Rev. Claude Calkins; he and his sisters grew up in Riverton. Madge Hess married ______ Carl. She is the daughter of Clem and Lora L. (Kish) Hess of Atchison county (Lora L. Hess born Oct. 13, 1883 in Atchison county - d. Feb. 11, 1971 in the Hamburg hospital)....Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Zanker is another daughter. George W. Carr buried Tuesday in Mt. Zion; died in St. Joseph; leaves wife and two children; lived in Riverton.--Aug. 22, 1901 Mrs. William Caten, wife of a wealthy farmer living four miles northwest of town on the county line , died very suddenly Saturday evening of heart failure. -- Imogene, FEb. 22, 1900 J. J. Chandler of Shenandoah died Monday; had lived many years in Locust Grove; in 1884 had run for county board.--July 9, 1903 Mrs. Thomas Chandler of Madison township died Tuesday; she was the mother of W. S. Chandler of Riverton; will be buried Friday the 15th in Mt. Zion.--Sept. 14, 1899 William Chandler died July 9, 1901 aged 62 - 6 - 29, in Hamburg. Frank VanEaton's wife nee Laura Marie Christensen was born in Hjarring, Denmark - d. near Sidney on Mar. 31, 1903 aged 30y 5m 20 days. Her mother died in Denmark, and she and her father came to Fremont county when she was 9 nine years old; was married Sept. 25, 1895. Leaves a daughter 6 years old and a son born Mar. 14, 1903. Ellen Clancy died last Friday and was buried in the Hamburg Catholic Cemetery. -- Feb. 21, 1901 Peyton Clark was born Dec. 9, 1827 in Nashville, Tenn. - d. Feb. 13, 1901 at his daughter's Mrs. J. A. Howard. He came to Sidney last Oct. Leaves 4 sons and 4 daughters; Mrs. Howard's aged mother lives in Oklahoma. Buried at Sidney. Uncle Jake Clites died Saturday; services at Champion Hill church four miles north of Imogene. -- May 11, 1899.....IMOGENE NEWS of June 29, 1899: Mrs. Stevens, daughter of Mrs.Jacob Clites, returned Thursday to her home in Humphrey, Nebr., accompanied by her mother.
