July 3/ or / Dec. 31, 1831 at Birdsell, Allegheny county, N.Y. -d. April 21, 1901; married Eliza C. Fuller (Tullar?), born March 9, 1835 - June 26, 1915 in Omaha, Nebraska; married on Dec. 3, 1854 at Oramel, N.Y....Moved to Sidney on August 13, 1864. Civil War veteran. Burial Sidney. In 1850, was living with his parents, Abraham and Mariah Havens in the town of Birdsall, Allegheny county, N.Y.; in 1885 was living on Out Lot 17 in the town of Sidney, Iowa. FREMONT COUNTY SUN. Feb. 5, 1900.--Charles Havens was put in a reminiscent mood Tuesday by seeing an old sleigh still in use which he had made years ago. Mr. Havens is a carriage maker by trade and he informed us that he made the first wagon, the first buggy, the first pair of bob sleds and the first swell bed cutter ever made in Fremont county. Sept. 3, 1903.--Mrs. Chas. Havens is building a house in the east part of Sidney, having recently purchased the lot. THE FREMONT COUNTY SUN. July 12, 1907. Son of Samuel J. and Julia (Niney) Pettit. In 1901, was living at Sidney; in 1910 was living at Creston, Iowa. He was a railroad man. 2. Jay Corodon, b. July 2, 1858 at Franklinville, N.Y. - died July 1910. Burial Sidney. Unmarried. 3. Frank W., born October 1860 in New York; married Nellie F. Sanborne, born January 1864 in Massachusetts; md. on May 24, 1886 at Sidney. Daughter of J. F. and __?__ (Hitts) Sanborne. In 1910 was living at Creston, Iowa 4. Abbie M. "Minnie", born in Fremont county December 1863; married George W. Mowery, b. October 1856 in Illinois; md on Oct. 14, 1884 at Sidney. Son of John and Mary L. (Daniel) Mowery. In 1901 and 1910 were living at Creston, Iowa. 5. Kate A., born in Fremont county circa 1865; married Albert E. Keaton (died April 22, 1907); married on Dec. 25, 1890. Son of William and Elizabeth (Lang) Keaton. From 1890 to 1907, they lived in Omaha; in 1908 and 1910, they were living at Florence, Nebr. 6. Eddie H., born circa 1869 in Fremont county; married Laura Kern on Feb. 12, 1889 at Sidney. Daughter of Samuel and Melinda (Lindor) Kern. In 1901 were living at Creston, Iowa; in 1910 were living at Des Moines.
