Hosting the open house were their two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Reed, Omaha, and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Reed, Marietta, Georgia. The couple was married January 17, 1923, in Nebraska City. They lived in Sidney, Iowa area. Other out of town guests included Mr. Reed's sister, Mrs. N. E. Riessen of Portland, Oreg.; their brother and sister*, Mr. and Mrs. Ross Reed of Downey, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Ira Andersen and family of Iowa City. The couple has two grandchildren, Miss Cindy Reed, Omaha, and Tim Reed, Orlando, Florida. *(MY NOTE:) re: "their brother and sister" Ralph Reed married Evangeline Carpenter, and Ross Reed married Flossie Carpenter who were sisters.
