I'm copying the following from Mabel's notes: 1826: Born in Stark county, Ohio in 1826. Came to Mills county, Iowa, in 1845; 18 months later moved to Plum Hollow, Fremont county. Married Susan Forney on Oct. 10, 1847 - first marriage in Scott township. Children: Margaret, William H., George W., David M., Sarah C., Martha Y.--Hist. of Fremont county, 1881, pp. 700 - 701. 1826: Born in Stark county, Ohio, in 1826. With parents, moved to Ray county, Missouri, in 1836. Left home at 14, lived for 6 years in Adams county, Illinois. Came to Mills county, Iowa, in 1846; 18 months later came "south into Fremont county and settling in this neighborhood long before Plum Hollow, the early name for the community, was known".
