I'm copying the following from Mabel's notes: 1.--1813: Born in New York in 1813. In Nauvoo, Illinois, 1841 - 1846. In Morman Battalion in Mexican War. Came to Fremont county in 1848. Married Mary A. Forney in 1841. Latter Day Saint--1881 Hist. of Fremont county, p. 681. 2.--1824: Mary Ann Forney, born Feb. 22, 1824 in Stark county, Ohio. Married Simon Dyke on July 3, 1842, near Nauvoo, by Elder Cowles.--Stanley, in the Argus-Herald of July 4, 1957. 3.--1845: Mary Dike, one of the Mormons who came to Scott township from Hancock county, Ill., in 1845 or 1846; first settlers in the township.--Biog.
