First I have of them is 1880 census in Cawker City KS, at which time James Ellsworth, born Ft. Scott KS and Abraham born Cawker city have increased the household. Sarah presumed to have died 1882, place unknown. James Sr. and Ellsworth are in Indian Territory in 1900. Abraham is in the Spanish American War. Elijah has married Nancy Brumley of Arkansas and Clara has married John Kisner of Butler, MO. Therefore, for a very small window of time John, Sarah, Elijah and Clara were in Hamburg. Tax rolls? newspaper items? I have looked at 1875 census; it is lumped statistics, not households. Any clue as to how to find any information is most welcome.
