Iowa at the age of 7 with his parents in 1854 and settled about 5 miles north of Sidney, in an area known as the "Camp Creek" neighborhood. Joseph married Eliza Jane Huffer on June 18, 1872. They had seven children. The first 3 children died on the 40 acre farm near Anderson, Iowa and they then moved to Riverton, Iowa. Eliza died Nov.08,1893 and Joseph never re-married. Eliza was buried by her first 3 children in a country graveyard in Anderson, Iowa and the grave location of all four was eventually lost. Their children were; seven children; Mary Reeves 1873 - 1874 Peter Reeves 1875 - 1878 Cary Reeves 1877 - 1878 Cynthia Mae Reeves Nov. 27, 1879 - 1970 Chester F.
