I'm copying the following from Mabel's notes. 1.--1847: Peter Livermore made a purchase at the estate sale of James W. Parman, Oct. 30, 1847.--The sale bill. 2.--1849: Peter Livermore and Julia Le Clair were married on Jan. 6, 1849 by Thomas Farmer, J.P.--(Atchison County Marriage Book "A", page 20, says WILLIAM Farmer married them.) 3.--1849: Peter Livermore and wife Julia sell one half of the northwest quarter of section 23 township 67 range 42 to William Kentsler.--Hist. of Fremont county, 1881, page 402. 4.--1850: Federal Census, Fremont county, Iowa Peter Livermore....39....b. Canada Julia....................19........Missouri Peter...................2..........Missouri Henry...................1.........Iowa N.B.: I believe that Peter's wife was a member of the Sioux tribe. If be be so, then one should interpret the place of her birth--"Missouri"--as being in the Missouri River Country. This is true for the birthplace of her son Peter, also. But it would appear that Livermore was in Atchison county in 1847! See above. --W.F. 5.--1850: Kensler and Livermore receive license to operate a toll bridge across the Nishnebotna.--Minutes, July 1, 1850 6.--1852: Fremont county Census, "Madison township" Peter Livermore....4m....2f 7.--1854: Fremont county Census, "Madison township" Peter Livermore....5m....2f....1 voter....1 militia....no aliens 8.--1856: Iowa State Census, Fremont county, "Madison township" Peter Lyvermore....43....b. Henry....................7.........Iowa Alexander..............5.........Iowa Elmo.....................2.........Iowa 9.--1857: In 1857, Peter Livermore of Madison township shot and killed Paul Parquette (Porket?), both Frenchmen, during a quarrel over some wheat.
