Sanford Wade is Jefferson Wades son. Sanford was a farmer and came to Fremont Co., Iowa in 1844 with his family, the Jefferson Wades. He was educated in the common school in Fremont Co., and held the Clerk and Assessor's Offices. He married a Elizabeth Witty on August 19, 1860.
