Feb. 15, 1907.--"Riverton News by Dr. S.C. Hatton".--(1). Theo. Kinney and Wm. VanEaton Jr. were over Wednesday on business and made us a very pleasant call. No two men in Fremont county can shed more rays of sunshine, more good words of comfort and inspiration, more good intentions and leave a better state of feeling, a world of good smiles an happy hearts, more of that good old fashioned, homespun sociability than Bros. Kinney and VanEaton. It is a little funny how much of that good natured feeling some men can shower upon his fellow beings and make darkness light and crooked things straight, and then look at some others and they are an iceberg everywhere they go. Did you ever stop to think about these things as you plod along through life--if not, stop plodding a little while and take an observation.....(2). Bert Allison died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Harrison Utterback Monday morning early. Cause of his death reported being pneumonia. Fun! eral the following day and during the funeral they received a telegram from his daughter who lives above the Bluffs, stating she would be here on the Tuesday evening train and his body was held until her arrival. He was buried in the Utterback cemetery Wednesday. They funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Harned.....(3). Mr. and Mrs. Coslett, who were to spend the winter with her sister in Florida, are expected home any day. Eli thinks there is only one good place on this earth and that is this part of old Fremont county and his head is about level and everybody says yes....(4) Joda Barton drives the hack to and from Sidney every day and it is doing him good every trip.
