I'm copying the following from Mabel's notes. (Jonathan Ira Bridges was Mabel Bridge's ancestor.) 1.--1850: Came to Fremont county in 1850. 2.--1851: ORDERED to serve on the grand jury for the next term of District Court.--Minutes, April 8, 1851. 3.--1851: The government surveyor's notes for Dec. 24, 1851 mentions Mr. Bridges farm of 30 acres in the southeast quarter of section 27 township 68 range 41. "All good farming land". 4.--1852: Fremont county census; " Madison township" J.I. Bridges....2m...2f 5.--1853: Land Entry dated Feb. 19, 1853 for Jonathan I. Bridges for the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of section 8 township 67 range 41. 6.--1853: Address McKissick's Grove. Entered the north half of the southeast quarter of section 7 township 67 range 41 on May 18, 1853.--(Copy of original documents.) 7.--1853: Land entry dated July 26, 1853 by Jonathan I. Bridges for Lot #2, in section 2 township 67 range 42. 8.--1854: Fremont county census: "Madison township". J.J. Bridges....3m....2f....1 voter....1 militia....no aliens 9.--1856: Iowa State Census for "Madison township: Jonathan J. Bridges....31.....b.
