THE SIDNEY ARGUS-HERALD. February 19, 1921.--Steve Jordan was born in ( ? )rison county, Missouri, on (October) 21, 1850, and departed th (is life at) the home of his daughter, (Mrs.) Rose Martin, in Shenand (oah, Feb) ruary 8, 1931, aged 80 (years, ? ) months and 17 days. (When a) small boy he moved with (his par) ents to Jackson county, (and) early in life came to (this) county. He was the yo (ungest) in a family of eight child (ren. On) November 26, 1873, he (was mar) ried to Matilda Wade, (died) December 3, 1917. To (them) four children were born, (one) who died in infancy, (and 3) girls, Mrs. Nellie Ulmer, Mrs. Rose Martin, (Shenandoah), Mrs. Alice Hayes, V (alentine), Nebraska, who with twelve (grand) children and four great (grand chil) dren and a large circle (of) relatives and friends (remain) to mourn his loss. Funeral (services) were conducted by Rev. (Bart) lett, pastor of the (__?__) church, a the church T (__?__) afternoon, and the remains (were laid) to rest! in Riverton (cemetery).
