Warthen died in Kansas City the 10th, inst. He will be remembered by many as a former law partner of Captain Mitchell. Judge Warthen graduated at Dartmouth College in 1873, afterward taught school and read law during his leisure time. At the time of his death he was assistant prosecuting attorney and an orator of more than ordinary ability.
