I'm copying the following from Mable's notes: (1).--1843: John Everly sold unsurveyed government land and improvements to John Worlan for $800; Augustus Borchers was security; Aug. 7, 1843.--Atchison county, Missouri, County Court Records. (2).--1850: Born in Hanover, Germany, 1817; in Mexican War; came to Fremont county in 1850; located at Sidney. Purchased land on which Hamburg was built, 1857. Indian trader at Watson, Misssouri, in 1839.--Hist. of Fremont county, 1881, page 629. (3).--1852: Fremont county Census: "Sidney township". Augustus Borchers....1m....3f (4).--1853: Land Entry dated January 23, 1853 by Augustus Borchers for the south half of the southwest quarter of Section 7 township 69 range 41 at the Kanesville Land Office.--1881 History of Fremont county, page 401. (5).--1854: Fremont county Census: "Sidney township". August Borchers....4m....3f....2 voters...2 militia...no aliens (!!! Where and when had he been naturalized?)
