This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Standbrough, Standbaugh. Classification: Biography Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ok.2ADE/1729.1 Message Board Post: Barbara: Walter Stanbrough in 1921 lived on the southwest quarter of section 7 in Locust Grove township, Fremont county. The 1920 census shows him as being 32 years, born in Kansas to a father who was born in Missouri and a mother who also was born in Missouri. His wife Fannie in 1920 was also 32 years old, and was born in Tennessee as were both of her parents. CHILDREN: Jessie (m), was 10; born in Colorado. Hope was 9 and born in Missouri. Mabel was 6, and Norval was 5, both having been born in IOwa. In 1915, the family said that they had lived in Iowa for five years. I have a note that they do not appear in the 1925 Locust Grove township census by the State of IOwa. I think his father, Jesse, is the two year old son of one James Stanb-a-u-g-h who was living in Madison township, Harrison county, Missouri, page 584 in the 1860 census. The father James, 28, had been born in OHio; the mother Louisa, 28, had been born in Indiana; a daughter Lucinda (?), 8, had been born in Indiana, as had Nathan, 7 and Sarah, 4. Jesse Stanbaugh, 2 years old, had been born in Missouri. Hope this proves to be helpful, instead of misleading, as I have no proof.
