I'm copying the following from Mabel's notes. 1.--1842: Came to the county before 1842.--1875 Historical Atlas of Iowa, page 423. 2.--1844: The stage line from Saint Joseph to Council Bluffs passed the C.W. McKissick residence on the adjoining claim south. Thomas Farmer kept a stage station, also a postoffice. His son-in-law, J.T. Davis, later kept a store at the station.--Biog.
