Nothing is said about being a wife of Nathaniel Jordan. There is a Nathaniel JORDAN buried in the Sidney Cemetery but his dates are b. 1848-1921 and is buried next to Minerva JORDAN 1850-1925 and sons Charles M. 1873-1941 and Fred C. 1884-1925. There are several Woolsey headstones in the Fremont County Cemetery book. Bessie Russell Woolsey, George, Gilbert, Joseph G. and Mertice M. The only one buried in the Thurman Cemetery is George 1863-1929. There are also a number of Woolseys mentioned in the 1996 Fremont County History. Can send more info if needed. That is all there is about George. Cay Pam wrote: > > Would you please see if you have any Woolsey's listed in your Thurman > Cemetery book? According to the History of Fremont County, Iowa 1881 - Franklin Township p. 631: "BROWN, JAMES, farmer, P.O. Hamburg; born in Warren County, Indiana, August 11, 1844. In 1947 came to this county. In 1864 he was married to Miss R.J. Slusher, a native of this county, and the daughter of an old settler. They have four children; Charles, George, Leonard D., and an infant. In 1861, Mr. Brown enlisted in company C, Fifth Missouri cavalry, serving two years, when he was mustered out." I have the children listed as: Charley Boy (b. 1868), Leonard D. (b. 1872), Georgia (b. 1874), Joseph (b. 1876), and Fred (b. 1878). Another child of L.D. and Sophire BROWN, Nancy Jane BROWN, was also married to a SLUSHER, but I believe the two Slusher families in question were cousins. Keep them coming, Walter! I really appreciate your hard work!!! Does anyone know more about this Gordon Farm listed in Jane Brown's death info? Many of my Browns are buried in Hamburg Cemetery.

Surnames: Smith Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ok.2ADE/1929 Message Board Post: Looking for Daniel Smith listed in the 1880 census in Benton, Fremont County Iowa. His age is 36 (so born in 1844) in New York State. Wife Adelia age 36 born in Pennsylvania. Son Charles H. Smith age 15 born in Wisconsin. I wonder if this might be Daniel Smith aged 6 years old in the 1850 census of Posey township Switzerland County Indiana? Born in New York State, the son of Emery Smith and Lucy A. I believe this Emory Smith and Lucy (Ann) appear in the 1870 census of Green township Nodaway County Missouri. Emory Smith was born in New York State in 1817-1819, Lucy Ann was born in Pennsylvania in 1825. I would be interested to know if an Emery/Emory Smith family appears in 1860 or 1880 census records in Fremont County Iowa. If I have the right family group of Smiths at least three members of the family were born in Iowa, John in 1848, Emma in 1857, and Eunice Delphena about 1859. All help will very appreciated, sincerely Leah
