She is either listed as Florence Julia Hardy or Julia Florence Hardy. She died around April 16, 1876 in the Tabor area. Florence's maiden name should be Thompson. I really want to know if her father and mother are listed on the certificate. He is probably William Thompson. The mother's first name is probably Ellen. I have no maiden name for Ellen. Please don't make a special trip for this but if anyone is looking up info I would appreciate it. Feel free to email me or post a message here. Dave Collins

I am trying to find info on Olin (James?)Taylor, Sr. He was married to my paternal aunt, Phyllis Viola Whitehead, in 1927-28. They had a son in 1929, and Olin died when the son was small, due to drinking some "bad liquor" or so the story goes. I visited up in Hamburg with my aunt's boys, but memories are fading, so I'm trying to find out what I can. Do you have this Taylor name in your research? Any help is greatly appreciated. Best regards, Sandy

Just browsing the net this a.m. and enjoying all your entries re: Fremont County. Imagine the surprise at finding this article about my Grandpa!!. I didn't know exactly when that accident happened, but have heard the stories of how wonderful the 'neighbors' were during that time when he almost died. My Dad, Jess Chance, was Clarence's step-son--Daddy was 10, I think, when Clarence married Jess's Mom, Violet. Thanks for the gift of that information!!. Betty Chance Trewet, Atlantic, IA
