Hello, Tina. There is a book about the history of Sherrill, Dubuque County, Iowa: Schmitt, James H. (1995). SHERRILL: THEN AND NOW. It says Adam & Isaac SHERRILL came to Galena, Illinois, around 1830 from Madonnaville, Monroe Co., Illinois. They were born in Kentucky. They then came to Dubuque County in 1833. Isaac returned to Illinois and married Ellen WALKER on 13 Aug 1847 in St. Clair County. In 1852 they moved back to Illinois. Most of this info is from notes I took from Schmitt's book when I was at the Dubuque Public Library. The marriage info is from: http://cyberdriveillinois.com/cgi-bin/archives/marriage.s There are a lot of Illinois SHERRILL weddings indexed at this site. BTW, there was another person researching the SHERRILL surname a few years ago -- Mike Alberts: matberts@tyler.net (this may be an old e-mail address) He was researching the SHERRILLs in North Carolina (back to D. R. SHERRILL, 1814) Do you have any info on these SHERRILLs in Illinois? You can read about my connections with Sherrill, Dubuque Co., Iowa, in my "Lang Family History" at my website. Daniel Daniel J.
