I have a copy of the reprinted diary of James L. Broderick from Swaledale, England. He visited Dubuque, spent a lot of time in the western Dubuque and Centralia area, but also surrounding towns, as far as Wintrhop and an excursion into Wisconsin. This was in 1876 and 1877. He addresses mostly families with origins in England, especially the Swaledale area. The book is indexed. There are many, but usually not very detailed, references to family relationships. I will be glad to look-up and respond with what is contained in the book for requested names. jiminal
