Is anyone searching for the following surnames: Ernster, Maei also spelled May, Abel, Kirchen. These early families settled in Dubuque County in and around Cascade, Iowa arrived abt. 1848-49. I've been unable to find their names in any ship''s manifests. Their homeland was Luxembourg. I am particularly searching for the birth and death dates for Nicholas John Ernster. He is supposedly buried in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Cascade. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Carolee62@aol.com
