Jim, Thank you the look-ups you are doing for us. I hope this isn't becoming a burden for you. Is there a biography of ERNSDORFF or THENO in your History of Dubuque? The ERNSDORFFs had a Buggy business in Dubuque in the 1890s. They were Luxembourgers - I have Nicolas Gonner's books. Are you a descendant of a Luxembourg immigrant? Margaret
Margaret, I find no ERNSDORFF or THENO biographies in my Dubuque County History books. I have an 1880 and one in the the early 1900s. No close variations either. Yes, I am of Luxembourger descent. All my father's ancestors and my mother's father's side. Mostly from the southeastern corner of Luxembourg, Waldbredimus and Burmeringer areas. Jim, thank you so much for the look-ups. My Luxembourgers are from many areas in the southern half of LUX. I have DIEDERICH and DAUSCH from Hassel, Weiler-la-Tour, which is near Waldbredimus and Burmerange. Are you connected to the NEIERS of Hassel, Weiler-la-Tour?
