Could someone look up marriage information for Celestin Kaltenbach and Louisa Kreisen (I think) taking place in Dubuque in 1835. They are from Potosi, WI. Thank you so much! Barbara Las Vegas, NV
Hi, I am researching the family of Emerand SCHMID, SCHMIDT, SMITH and Lena KRAKOW who were married in Dubuque on July 23, 1877. They had six children born between 1879 and about 1900 including Lucretia, Fannie, Albert, Louis, William, and Otto. I am having a problem locating any of these children in later censuses. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Tom in Chapel Hill ________________________________________________________________ Sign Up for Juno Platinum Internet Access Today Only $9.95 per month! Tom, Thank you for the McGinty marriage information. Kathy Stoneberg http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~kstoneberg/ourfamily.htm
Hi, The following are the results of my latest marriage searches. Recall that currently I only have the marriage records in books A, 1, and 2 for Dubuque County. These books cover marriages from 1835-1865. I also have the index which goes from 1835 into the 1920s maybe a bit later, but that one only gives one name, year of marriage, book and page number, but not the spouse, date of marriage etc. Note in the following, the three numbers are the book number, the page number in that book, and the year. Ann LEYTEM and Phillip KAUDER about 1894: this marriage not found. Michael LEYTEM and Maud McCUE: marriage not found. Two other LEYTEM marriages were found in the index: William T. LEYTEM, 5-310-1893 and Annie C. LEYTEM, 6-210-1900. Again, this is the index, and I don't know who this Annie was marrying. However, I did not find any KAUDERs in the index. Elizabeth Agatha LOES and Nicholas CAUDY: marriage not found. See below for others. Catherine LOES and John TILL: marriage not found. See below for other LOES marriages. John TILL is in the index however, 3-103-1866. Again, I don't have that book yet. Catherine LOAS/LOES and Nicholas CASPER 32, married Nov. 4, 1850 by M. M. LENTHER, M.G. [Minister of the Gospel], A-141-1850. Pierre LOES and ?: this one is in 3-296-1868. I don't have that book yet. Magdalene LOES married Nicholas WEBBER, license May 2, 1853, married the same day, recorded by Benj. RUPERT, clerk, 1-106-1853. Other LOES/LOWES marriages in the index: Margaret LOWES 3-200-1868, Mathias LOES 4-14-1874, Anna LOES 4-23-1874, Catherine LOES, 3-103-1866, Dinah LOWES, 3-60-1866, John LOWES, 3-271-1868, Nicolas LOES, 3-201-1868. Louis KRATZ and Dorothea KIRST, marriage not found. Victoria SCHRUP and Lorenz SCHMID, licensed on April 8, 1859, married April 25, of the same year, by George SCHNEIDER, C.P. [Catholic Priest], 2-94-1859. John McGINTY and Mary McMULLEN, license/married on June 22, 1858, 2-44-1858. William McGINTY and Ellen, not found. Other McGINTY marriages included: Jos. MILLIGAN 24 and Sarah McGinty 18, married on September 21, 1850 by William Hutchew, J.P., A-134-1850. Thomas McGINTY and Margaret Theresa BRENNAN, license Nov. 22, 1860, married Nov. 25, same year by Mathis ?, Catholic Priest, 2-192-1860. Elias METCALF and Emily MEAD, not found Sarah STOWELL and Frank or John MEAD not found. Willis THOMSPON 42 and Elizabeth BANKSON 33, married Thursday, September 1, 1842 by the Justice of the Peace of Dubuque County, Territory of Iowa, signed by Alex D. ANDERSON, J.P. I have a copy of this record if you want it. Just let me know. Tom in Chapel Hill ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! I am posting them all here, so I don't have to send multiple emails: Catherine HANSEN and Nicolas THEIS, license issued March 5, 1856, married the same day, Book 1, page 372. Hi Tom, I would be very pleased if you were to look up Laurence, Lawrence or Lorenz Schmidt or Smith and Victoria Mary Longueville. I have no date. I do know Victoria's parents but not Lorenz's. Sorry for the different aka's. I for got the date should be in the location of 1857 - 59. Thanks. Penny
Thanks so much Tom. What a nice offer! I don't know how much info your records have but I would appreciate any info on the marriage of James R. Thompson and Martha Ann Gonder, married 12 August 1847; and the marriage of Willis Thompson and Elizabeth Bankson, married 25 August 1842. This info is in Book A according to the index on genweb. I am working on my Thompson line and have hit the "brick wall". Am trying to find siblings of my gr gr grandfather Micajah Y. Thompson who was executor of the above James R. Thompson's will. Poor James died in September of 1847 so I guess his married life was a short one. Thanks again for your kind offer. Vicki Thompson Douglas spirit@uslink.net
