Born Sept. 10, 1905, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Daniel and Amelia Agnes Bowling Goble. On Oct. 18, 1922, she married Archie Lee Brockway in Burlington. He died June 12, 1981. Mrs Brockway had worked in the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant and in housekeeping at Burlington Medical Center. Survivors include two sons, Elwood Brockway of Burlington and Robert Brockway of Kingston; seven daughters, Marjorie Rice of Wapello, Marian Andries of Mediapolis, Eleanor Breuer of Oakville, Pauline Massey, Mary Malone, Gladys Wiley, and Delores Christofferson, all of Burlington; 43 grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Prugh's Chapel. The funeral for Mrs. Brockway will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Prugh's Chapel with Chaplain David Mixon officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the American Heart Association.
