My grandmother, Elva Jane George, was born 17 Jan 1878 in Des Moines, IA. I don't know if it was DesMoines Co. or City. I need some record of her birth. Her parents were John Lewis George and Mary Elizabeth Bentley. They were Quakers, if that would help. Hope someone there can search some local records for me. If so, I'm thankful. I'm in Kitsap Co.
