Hi Jill, Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw "Moir Hall." My name is Evaleen Flanders Hoeller and I too went to nurses training in Burlington and lived in Moir Hall our freshman year of nursing. I graduated from training in 1956. Soon after they closed Moir Hall and then reopened it into offices and I believe offices for the city such as Sociol Services....I think. You may already know about the offices but I had not heard about it burning. So sorry to hear about that as it was originally a beautiful privately owned mansion of the Moir family. If you don't get a response from someone who actually knows what happened I can check with some of my nursing classmates and see if I can find out for you.
