My Des Moines County ancestors are Thomas Boswell Ratliff, born 13 Dec 1805, Louisa Co, VA, died 14 June 1891, Des Moines Co, IA. His wife was Sarah A. Henderson, born 25 Feb 1813, Pickaway Co, OH, died 6 Jan 1892, Des Moines Co, IA. They are both buried at the Pleasant Grove Church cemetery. Their children were John Westly, David Calhoun, Mary Jane Needham, Elizabeth May Bown, Lucy Ann Fitzgerald, Lewis L., George W., Thomas P., Franklin P. and Francis M. I believe Lewis L. was the only child who remained in Des Moines County - he and his wife are also buried at Pleasant Grove, but I don't know if they had any children. Michele Cragg
