I am not related to this person and have no further information on her. Jack Wesley Rife, age 70 of rural Morning Sun, died Sunday, September 10, 2000, at Great Riber Medical Center in West Burlington. The son of Edward and Arlene Lander Rife, he was born November 12, 1929 at Des Moines. He worked as an automibile assemblyman for Ford Morot Co. for 20 years and then as a union boilermaker for 25 years through Local #83. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the V.F.W. #7641, a member of the U.A.W. and the Boilermakers Union, and a member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Survivors include his companion, Naomi Roberts of rural Morning Sun; one daughter, Jacquelyn Rife of Knoxville, Iowa; five sons, Dan of Wichita, Kansas, Alan and Lindsay, both of Pleasantville, Shawn of Polk City, Randall of Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren,; four sisters, Luree Marturello of Des Moines, Marilyn Rumley of Indiana, Bonnie Hall of Des Moines and Joyce Beebe of California. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 14 from the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, with the Rev. John Gaulke officiating. Korkee Carruthers will provide the organ music. The casket bearers are Jeff Kerr, Bob Lehnherr, Mark Mchaffy, John Mehaffy, Herschel Smuck and Rusty Orr. Honorary bearers are Jacquelyn Rife, Dan Rife, Alan Rife, Randall Rife, Shawn Rife and Lindsay Rife. Interment will follow at the Kossuth Cemetery in rural Mediapolis with graveside military rites conducted by the Mediapolis American Legion. There was no family visitation. Open visitation was Wednesday afternoon and evening.
