Dear Gordon, fellow Des Moines, IA listers, I understand your concern. Most of us belong to more than a few lists and we certainly don't need spam. Indeed it is inappropriate for a business to post commercial advertising on our list. Rootsweb scans for such posts and 99% of the time they never make it through. There are times, however, when I don't mind hearing about an online genealogy source from a fellow lister, especially if it's a book store. That said, I want to make it clear that the main purpose of our list is to exchange genealogy information concerning our family research in Des Moines County, Iowa. Thanks for your cooperation.
