I'm sorry, I don't remember if I replied to your letter or not. My program doesn't indicate if I did. Yes there are a lot of Haight's from Des Moines Co. We have quite a list going of those who descend from Cornelius Haight. He had 15 children. I descend from his brother Philip who's daughter came to Des Moines Co with her husband John Curtis Nott. Our line came from Dutchess Co. NY by way of OH, IL to IA. They were amoung the first settlers in Des Moines Co arriving sometime in the late 1840's. Cornelius and Philip were the children of Aaron and Jemima Waters Haight. We take their lineage back to the immigrant Simon Hoyt. I don't recall an Emitt. Do you know who his parents are or Grandparents? Thanks Marilyn Salem, OR On Wed, 11 Oct 2000 22:06:29 -0700 shirley wolf houston <wolf@syix.com> writes: > Posted on: Des Moines Co.
