    3. Hi, I have run into some problems trying to locate my husbands side of the family the HAUG's. I have looked at the 1870 census of Burlington, Iowa and there are no Haugs listed. On the 1880 census there is George Haug born 1844 Wurttemberg, Germany lumberjack? married to Anna born 1855 Hanover, Germany their children listed in 1880---Anna born 1880, William A. born 1877, Minnie born 1874, John born 1886. So there is no 1890 census so I went to the 1900 census. George is not listed Anna is and the census said that she came to US in 1872. I have the death cert of William A. who died in 1915 and is buried at Aspen Grove Cemterey. William A. Haug's wife Selma Augusta Johnson goes on the marry a Behen she is listed in the 1920 census of Burlington then she married a Vaughn and she died in 1960 and buried at the Aspen Grove Cemetery. But to find out about George and get a death cert. I have to know when he died (I know by his last child that he died between 1886 and 1900, that is fourteen years and the Iowa Department of Public Health wants the $10.00 for every year. That would be $140.00 for them to search their records. I do beleive that he is buried at the Aspen Grove Cemetery. I know by the census data that this family lived by the Aspen Grove Cemetery. I would love to see someone do a listing of the Aspen Grove Cemetery. Or if anyone know what happened to the Haugs. I would be willing to submit what research I have done on Burlington Iowa. I have some other names from Census that I copied. If we all had a place to submit anything that we have on Burlington maybe we could help each other. Lisa
