Re McCabe, I understand my husband's gg grandfather William Sherman MAXWELL b. 1847 IL married an Emily McCABE as his first wife. William was born in McLean Co., IL and moved to Iowa. With Emily he had a child who died from polio and a daughter Carrie Maxwell who married a GIRNER. I guess Emily died and William remarried another time or two. This is a generation that I know very little about but am seeking more information. Margie Bridges
