    3. We are new to the list, but just wanted to let you know we are here. We have a Primitive Baptist library here in Carthage, Illinois, about 35 miles from Burlington. We lived in Burlington for six years 1973-1979, have been over here in Carthage since that time. We have nearly 200 church records, 12,000 Baptist association minutes, church periodicals dating back to 1832 or a little earlier, which contain obituaries, books, photos, etc., and have compiled a sketch history of most of our churches in Iowa and Illinois. The only church of our faith which ever existed in Des Moines Co., Iowa, was the Old Stone church in the vicinity of Sperry, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. We paid to have a film made of its records, and have the members names entered into a database which contains almost 30,000 names for Illinois, Iowa, and other states, which is being added to as we obtain records. As time permits, we volunteer our time to help people, including genealogists. We are formally organized as a non-private foundation, and have Library status. 3. Dear Mr. Webb, Thank you for sharing knowledge of your library with the list. Also, thank you for your generous contributions to genealogy. Without people like yourself, many of us would not be able to make that critical connection. Are family researchers allowed to stop by? with an appointment? 3. Hi Robert. Since your database is well established with copyrights in place, can we just link to your site from the DesMoines County website? It sounds like a tremendous resource for researchers in that geographical area.
