    2. from grandmother West's scrapbook Barry West Leon Journal-Reporter (The year on the Newspaper says 1944, but articles say 1945) Pvt. Elvyn Richman who was a prisoner of the Germans for two years and two months, has returned to his home at LeRoy for a sixty day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Richman. Pvt. Richman was captured in North Africa. He was liberated April 13, and was hospitalized until June 29. His brother, Pfc. Bill Richman, 18, is with the army of occupation at Barnstadth, Germany.
